Pelican showcasing its new developments for flexible packaging at K 2019
Pelican Rotoflex based in India is all set to launch Acrostar – a new-generation slitter with dual turret winder on a global platform at K 2019. With a maximum speed of 700 meters a minute, the turret facility offers high productivity, with minimal downtime being the key differentiator. The turret technology with rewind reel changeover within 30 seconds adds significantly to the machine output while minimizing the traditional bottleneck in the slitting area.
The USP of Acrostar is closed-loop tension control on rewinder using load cell for feedback, coupled with the differential winding shaft technology, which provides the user with just the right combination for a precise winding. The result is a perfectly wound reel that can aid in the next process; also Acrostar is suitable for a wide range of substrates, at higher speed levels. The machine is equipped with best-in-class servo motors and motion control systems (six servo axis) from Siemens. It also comes with a reel push-off system coupled with the reel unloading system.
